Your adventure begins with an arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be greeted by your guide and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay. Arusha is the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, and you can relax and prepare for the exciting journey ahead. 

Accommodation; Gran Melia Arusha

After breakfast, you’ll drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large herds of elephants, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. This park is less crowded than some others, offering a more intimate safari experience. You’ll enjoy a game drive through Tarangire, spotting a variety of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and antelope, as well as predators like lions and leopards. In the late afternoon, you’ll continue to Ngorongoro Marera Mountain Lodge for an overnight stay. The lodge offers stunning views of the surrounding area and serves as a comfortable base for your next day’s adventures.

After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous national park. The Serengeti is home to the Great Wildebeest Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move through the plains in search of food and water. Upon arrival, you’ll check into your accommodation at Serengeti Safari Lodge, located in the central part of the park. This area offers fantastic game viewing opportunities with its open plains and large populations of predators and prey. After settling in, you’ll enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you may witness the herds of wildebeest and zebras

Accommodation; Kubu kubu Tented Lodge

On Day 4, you’ll head north to the Serengeti, where the wildebeest migration is often at its most dramatic. This area is particularly famous for the Mara River crossings, where the wildebeest face dangers from crocodiles and other predators as they swim across the river. You’ll stay at B Mara River Camp, which offers a unique and intimate experience in the heart of the northern Serengeti. Your day will be filled with exciting game drives, where you’ll get a close-up view of the migration as well as the diverse wildlife that thrives in this region, including lions, elephants, and giraffes.

Accommodation; Mara River Camp

Your adventure continues in northern Serengeti, with another day spent at Mara River Camp. With the great migration unfolding around you, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to witness the dramatic river crossings and the interactions between predators and prey. The area is also known for its diverse birdlife and other species, making it an excellent destination for wildlife photography. In addition to the migration, you may spot elephants, leopards, and hyenas, all while enjoying the luxury and comfort of your camp.

Accommodation Mara River Camp

On Day 6, you’ll return to the central Serengeti, where you’ll spend the day exploring the heart of the park. The Serengeti is one of the best places in the world for game viewing, and you’ll have the chance to spot a wide range of wildlife, from predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards to herbivores such as giraffes, zebras, and elephants. The central Serengeti’s open plains are ideal for viewing large herds of animals, including those participating in the migration, and your guide will take you to the most productive areas for sightings.

Accommodation ; Kubu kubu Tented Lodge

On your final day, you’ll make your way to Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s most stunning natural wonders. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a massive caldera that shelters an incredible array of wildlife within its steep walls, including rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, lions, and wildebeest. The crater is often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to its lush vegetation and abundance of animals. You’ll descend into the crater for a full day of game viewing, enjoying a picnic lunch within the crater floor before heading back to the rim and concluding your safari. Afterward, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha for your onward journey or to the airport.

Many of our accommodations feature kid-friendly amenities like play areas and swimming pools (availability varies by location). We recommend bringing along some activities to keep little ones entertained during travel times.
