SAFARI DETAIL

On your first day, you will arrive at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, where you’ll be greeted by Severah Travel & Tours professional safari guide. After a warm welcome, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, which takes around two hours. Upon arrival to the park your driver guide will take you to the picknick site, where you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, you’ll head out for your first game drive in Tarangire, a park famous for its large herds of elephants and the majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape. The park is home to diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and a wide variety of bird species. As the sun begins to set, you will return to your lodge for a cozy dinner and a restful night under the African sky.

Accommodation; Ngorongoro Marera Mountain Lodge

After a hearty breakfast at your lodge, you’ll check out and begin the scenic drive towards the Serengeti National Park. This journey typically takes around 4-5 hours, with opportunities to stop for photos and enjoy the breathtaking Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival in Serengeti, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch with panoramic views of the stunning landscape. In the afternoon, you’ll set off for your first game drive in the Serengeti, a world-renowned wildlife reserve known for its vast plains and rich animal populations. Whether you’re encountering herds of wildebeest, graceful giraffes, or the elusive leopards, Serengeti is a wildlife photographer’s paradise. After an exciting afternoon, you’ll return to your lodge for dinner, reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Day 3 is the highlight of your trip, as you’ll rise early for an unforgettable hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. You’ll float gently above the iconic plains as the sun rises, providing a stunning aerial view of the savannah, and offering a unique perspective on the wildlife below. The balloon ride typically lasts about an hour, and once you’ve landed, you’ll enjoy a celebratory breakfast in the bush. Afterward, you’ll proceed with the game drive on the Serengeti plains return to your lodge for a short rest before heading out for a more leisurely morning.

In the afternoon, you’ll embark on another exciting game drive across the Serengeti. The park is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, and rhinoceros), and this is a great opportunity to spot these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Depending on the season, you might also witness the Great Migration, as millions of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains (Season). As the day winds down, you’ll return to your lodge for a relaxed dinner and overnight stay in the Serengeti.

On your final day, you’ll enjoy an early breakfast before checking out of your Serengeti lodge and making your way to the Ngorongoro Crater, a journey that typically takes around 3.5 to 4 hours. Upon arrival at the Crater rim, you will begin your descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best places on earth for game viewing. This massive caldera, which is home to a rich array of wildlife, offers a spectacular setting to spot animals like the endangered black rhino, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and zebras. You’ll spend the day exploring the Crater floor, taking in the lush landscapes and observing the animals in their natural environment.

After a delicious picnic lunch in the Crater, you’ll continue your game drive. In the late afternoon, you will ascend the Crater rim and start your drive back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (approximately 3.5 hours from the Crater), where you’ll either catch your onward flight or return to Arusha for an overnight stay, depending on your schedule.

Most of our camps and lodges run generators to provide electricity around the clock. While you might experience occasional brief outages, this rarely impacts your overall experience.

Safari adventures are fantastic for kids! They’ll love seeing wildlife up close in their natural environment. Many of our accommodations feature kid-friendly amenities like play areas and swimming pools (availability varies by location). We recommend bringing along some activities to keep little ones entertained during travel times.
